Dance Studio 101 is conveniently located on Elizabeth St in the heart of the fashion district of Surry Hills. On the first floor of the legendary - Hibernian House, a building often described as "more New York than New York!". Situated between Cooper & Kippax Sts right across the road from Central Station and 5 mins away from Chinatown.

Our facilities include 1 x dance studio 80sq metres with kitchen facilities, lounge area and stunning interiors ideal for fashion and video shoots.

The studio is a favorite rehearsal space of many leading international choreographers and contains delicious rare vinyl record art, a collection of vintage boomboxes, hand-picked unique retro furnishings, artwork by uber-cool Artist Ben Frost and a feature wall by Old School Graf King - Scotty Stylz.

Operating Hours

  • Monday-Friday 10am-10pm
  • Saturday-Sunday 10am-6pm. For bookings outside of these hours, please enquire.

Costs

  • Rehearsal rate (not for profit) - $25 per hour during the day
  • Rehearsal rate (not for profit) - $30 per hour during the night or weekends
  • Commercial rate - $60 per hour and upward
  • and Filming Location rate : $950 per day (8 hrs) - $700 per half day (4 hrs or under).Photography

Technical Specifications

  • The studio has a stereo system with CD, iPod and computer connectivity. One full mirrored wall and wooden floors.

Studio Hire Terms and Conditions Policy

Unless you have booked for Filming/ Location/ Photography, no photography or video to be undertaken without prior written consent from Dance Studio 101. There is a 24-hour cancellation policy on non profit studio hire and a 72-hour cancellation policy on location and photography space hire. Booked times cannot be ammended on the day of hiring. Clients needing to set up or break down equipment need to factor in that time accordingly. Clients renting the space may not come early or stay late outside of the designated time which was booked.
